Diagnosis
Fore wing with two more or less distinct hair lines radiating from stigmal vein; dorsellum hidden under scutellum, not visible in dorsal view; male with midlobe of mesoscutum completely metallic bluish-green. The female is similar to auripunctata but differs in having upper frons, vertex, sidelobes of mesoscutum and scutellum bright yellowish-red, gaster with median one-third dark brown with two orange-yellow cross-bands, and in having transepimeral sulcus more strongly curved. The male is similar to albifascia but lacks dark cross-bands on frons.
